The hardware
Professional-grade headphones. Not consumer off-the-shelf.
Every headset in our fleet receives audio from up to three simultaneous transmitters — each on a separate channel, up to 400 yards of range, with individual volume controls and channel-select buttons on the ear cup. LED indicators glow red, green, or blue based on which channel the guest is on, so you can see the room split in real time.
Pre-charged to full before every event. Sanitized between uses. Backup units included on larger orders.

Three simultaneous worlds in one room.
Each of the three channels can carry something completely different — your own playlist from Spotify or any audio device, a DJ-curated set, live DJ battles across channels, or non-music content like guided activities, foreign-language tracks, or a ceremony audio feed.
Guests switch channels with a button tap. They can hear what they want at the volume they want — independently of everyone else in the room. It's the most flexible live audio setup available for events.

Why we exist
This isn't a feature. It's the reason we exist.
Most rental companies treat quiet as a bonus. For us it is the founding problem. We started as a band playing Austin shows — every set ended the same way: a crowd that wasn't ready to leave, and a sound ordinance that didn't care.
So we bought 100 headphones. No speakers means far less noise to complain about, and no reason to stop the night early. That workaround became the company.

Not just Austin — we provide events throughout Texas. Our own team can personally deliver, set up, and break down your event anywhere in the state, so you’re not relying entirely on a shipping company. Depending on event size and location we can deliver directly or ship the equipment (nationwide for DIY rentals). Direct team delivery is especially popular for larger events.
Can we use our own music and playlists?
Yes — stream from Spotify, a phone, or any standard audio device into any of the 3 channels. No proprietary music or app required.
Do you provide DJs and other entertainment services?
Yes. Add one or two DJs on their own with a DJ Experience rental, or go full production for professional DJs plus full lighting rigs and truss alongside the headphone system itself.
What if something goes wrong with the equipment during my event?
Backup units are included on larger orders, and phone support is available for the duration of your event.
Is Silent Disco appropriate for all ages?
Yes — individual volume controls and no speaker amplification make it comfortable for children through seniors at the same event.
